• Perspective & type of narrator
  • Subjective narrator
    • ​generally unreliable because he/she is in the story,
      can only speak to experience within it.
      °Gives personal opinions and feelings
  • Objective narrator
    • ​observes and describes facts and events of the story: May tell thoughts, feelings, motivations, of the characters, but not of the narrator.
  • Omniscient narrator
    • ​(omniscient = all knowing) 
      narrator has access to all thoughts and details.
  • Limited narrator
    •  narrator has access to only one person’s thoughts.
  • first person narrator
    • ​uses "I" to tell the story, and can be either a major or minor character. 
      It may be easier for a reader to relate to a story told in a first person account.
  • third person narrator
    • ​uses the pronoun "he" or "she" and does not take part in the story.
