NO CHROMEBOOKS TODAY!

Learning intentions
  • Reading Narratives for Style and Perspective
Goals
  • I come to discussions prepared, having read the material and with relevant notes.
Agenda
  • Review notes, role expectations.
    • Take notes manually (pencil and paper)
    • EXAMPLE:
    • Perspective Purveyor: p. 34 "When I was all set to go, when I had my bags and all, I stood for a while next to the stairs and took a last look down the goddam corridor. I was sort of crying. I don't know why."
      • Bullcrap Holden. You know why you were crying and just don't want to face your obstacles. This line really shows how cagy the narrator is being. We get glimpses of his emotions, but I think there is a lot more going on with Holden than what he's telling us.
