Weekly Agenda: Lots of things to communicate this week.

For those who turned the research paper in already, THANK YOU! I appreciate your efforts and you should be proud if your accomplishment.I will be trying to get through as many papers as I can this week to get them returned to you with grades and comments so you can correct and turn them back in if needed.

THIS WEEK = Make up week. Your grade is entirely in your hands this week. Go back through Powerschool and Google classroom and turn anything and everything . Remember, the big projects (~70% of your overall grade) are as follows:
- Research project (Paper w/ annotated works cited, Outline, Note Chart)
- Way to Rainy Mountain Reading Assignments
- ACT English Exam
- Resumes and Cover Letters

OPTIONAL ZOOM MEETINGS: If you have any questions or need some face to face time, I'm hosting brief and optional Zoom meetings on Tuesday. Check your emails for links and passwords.
- Tuesday, May 12
- Period 2 - 10:00 am
- Period 3 - 10:20 am
- Period 4 - 10:40 am
LAST ASSIGNMENT (NEXT WEEK) - Due May 25th
- Check out the instruction document in the Google Classroom assignment "Letter to your future self"
- This letter will only help your grade if you choose to do it and turn it in.
- I can’t promise that I won’t see what you’ve written as I print them out for delivery, but know that whatever you put in here is confidential. I will do my best not to look, peek, read, or glance at your writing. This is for you.

Weekly Agenda

This is the last official week to work on writing your research paper. If you've missed them on my blog or Google Classroom. check out the videos below to help you wrap things up.
- Research Paper Requirements

- Writing Conclusions (my beard makes a comeback in this one)
- Editing and Revisions
EXTRA MOTIVATION: Simply by turning in this paper with ALL requirements met I'll raise your grade 1 letter grade in the class (so long as you have the following assignments done: Resume and Way to Rainy Mountain Reading Assignment). That could go up even more if you turn in a good, thorough, edited paper. So simply by finishing this your grade could go from a B to an A or an F to a D.
Paper Requirements:
- Use document in Google Classroom
- 4 – 8 pages, not including works cited pages or any graphics
- Times New Roman, 12 pt, double spaced, 1" margins
- 4 multi-paragraph sections: intro, 1st pers, 2nd pers, you conclusion
- Each body paragraph should have at least one citation
- - No “I” “we” “you” or other personal pronouns
- May use “I” in conclusion
Reminder: As promised at the beginning of the semester, May 15th is the last day to turn in ANY late work or redo any assignments for full credit. Your grade is entirely in your hands! Put in some work and ask me questions about any missing work.
