UNIT LEARNING GOALS
  • I can analyze how the cultural perspective and background of an author/narrator shapes writing choices.
  • I can analyze how style and content contribute to the effectiveness of the text.

AGENDA
  • Read “Little Woman from Lame Deer” in I Am Where I Come From (p. 117)
    • A NOTE ON DISCUSSION: By no means do students have to be silent, I encourage collaboration and discussion, especially when it’s about the topic or reading material we’re working on. Still I am asking students to read ~15 pages independently. Think about how distracting it would be to try and read something for school, while two people next to you have a loud and or obnoxious conversation beside you. Be respectful of peers and help create a successful reading environment.
  • Begin reading response (Explained in Assignment #500 on Google Classroom)​
    • ​Be prepared to post and share ideas bout the essay on Friday in class.
  • Period 3 is working on their last day for research projects.
